GM Developments
Working with GM Developments, our proposal for the Barnes Hospital site is aimed at addressing the use of underutilised suburban land to help meet housing need. The hospital site presents opportunities through good transport links and an established and mature landscape to the perimeter of the site.
Our architectural approach seeks to establish a streetscape that responds to the local context, provide a contemporary response to traditional housing models and maintaining the ‘green buffer’ to the south and west.
The scheme provides a new neighbourhood square as a community hub, a mix of townhouses and apartments, with living spaces aspected to the south. The parking strategy allows for car ownership while acknowledging and encouraging car share.
